OXVA Xlim Pro 2 DNA Kit 30W

Most pod kits give you whatever the coil gives you. The Xlim Pro 2 DNA takes a different approach. OXVA worked with Evolv, the maker of the DNA chipset, to fit a custom DNA chip into the slim Xlim Pro 2 body. You get a pocket-sized kit where you can adjust the power, then repeat the puff you like.

What the DNA chip adds

Replay mode. Find a setting you like and the device remembers that puff and repeats it. You don’t have to re-tune the wattage every session.

Dry-hit protection. The chip monitors the coil. A reviewer who tested the kit found it won’t fire on an empty pod, which helps if you tend to forget to refill.

Optional software tuning. OXVA’s own version of Evolv’s EScribe software, available from OXVA’s site, lets you customize the device from a PC. If you’d rather not, the kit works straight out of the box.

Power and battery

The built-in 1300mAh battery charges over USB-C, and OXVA lists 2A charging. Output adjusts from 5W to 30W, and a 0.56-inch colour screen shows your settings. You can fire it with the button or by drawing on the mouthpiece.

Pods and e-liquid

Two top-fill stainless steel pods come in the box: 0.6Ω (pre-installed) and 0.8Ω. Each holds 2ml. The kit works with both nicotine salt and freebase e-liquids, which are sold separately. The 0.6Ω pod suits a tighter draw and the 0.8Ω pod a more open one, so try both and keep the one you prefer.

Size and finishes

The body measures 114.5 × 25 × 15 mm and weighs 67 g, so it slips into a jeans pocket easily. It is built from zinc alloy with IML and PCTG, and some finishes have a carbon-fibre look. The colours are Frost Titanium Blue, Nebula Grey, Silk Brown, Silk White and Luminous Forged Carbon Fiber, which looks different in daylight than in low light.

Looking after the battery

The lithium battery is sealed inside the device. Don’t throw the kit in household waste. Take it to an electronics or battery collection point when it reaches the end of its life. Keep it out of direct sun and hot cars.
